Our hourly rates depend on the size of the ensemble you are booking, and the distance from our home base in Sacramento.
For a traditional string quartet in the Sacramento area:
First hour = $550
Second hour = $450
Third hour and more = $350/hour
We have a 1-hour job length minimum within the Sacramento area, and longer for more distant jobs. Travel charges will apply for out of area jobs, as well. For weddings, although it is usually not necessary, we will gladly attend your rehearsal.
Custom music arranging is also available, if your desired piece is not in our repertoire. We can provide a singer, accompany a singer of your choice, or provide other instrumentalists, such as trumpet or keyboard, as you wish.
If you prefer, we can provide any ensemble size, starting with solo violin or cello, which of course is not technically an ensemble. We can provide a violin/cello duo, cello/cello duo, string trio (2 violins/cello or violin/viola/cello), string quartet, and string quintet, which is basically string quartet plus upright bass. The quintet has an expanded repertoire, and can function and sound much like a small string orchestra.
